ViaWest Working to Develop Mixed-Use Project in Chandler
ViaWest Properties LLC in Phoenix is working on plans to develop a mixed-use office-retail project at the northwest corner of Chandler Boulevard and McClintock Drive in Chandler. The company is under contract to acquire the 25-acre parcel in a deal that is contingent on zoning approval. The property is owned by a company formed by Sooner Investment in Oklahoma City. Phoenix-based De Rito Partners has pumped more than $1 million into renovating a recently purchased Mesa shopping center. Safeway Plans to Close Glendale Store
The company decided to close the store “to strengthen operational efficiencies.” Safeway Inc. has announced that it will close one of its Glendale stores as it prepares for a merger later this year with Albertsons.
