Alliance Trucking leases 17,000SF Alliance Trucking, a clearinghouse for shipping information and logistics, signed a six-year lease for nearly 17,000 square feet at MainSpring Cotton Center in Phoenix. Frozen Yogurt Chain Plans Expansion A new yogurt shop is coming to town. U-SWIRL Frozen Yogurt will open four cafs in the Tucson metro area over the next 36 months. The first will open this summer. The yogurt caf’s parent company, U-SWIRL International Inc., has signed an area development agreement with Las Vegas, NV-based AV LLC to own and operate the stores. View article…

CVS MinuteClinics team with Catholic Healthcare MinuteClinic, the retail health care division of CVS Caremark, is teaming with Catholic Healthcare West‘s three Valley hospitals. Phoenix tenants see little green at the office Phoenix scored poorly on IBM‘s new office building survey, which polled office tenants about the sustainability of their workplaces. Only 26 percent of tenants said their buildings are environmentally friendly. That is the lowest percentage for 16 major cities including New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle, Washington, Boston, Tampa and Denver. RealtyTrac: Phoenix No. 7 in foreclosures The Phoenix area moved up again – to No. 7 – in RealtyTrac‘s first-quarter foreclosure ranking of the nation’s 206 largest metros. That’s up from No. 8 in 4Q, 12 in 3Q and 9 in 2Q of 2009, according to the California company, which tracks foreclosure activity and provides marketplace information for buyers and sellers. Housing permits spike in Gilbert, Queen Creek Gilbert and Queen Creek saw big upward spikes in the number of single-family housing permits issued in the first two months of 2010, in large part due to tax credits that end Friday. Gilbert’s 260 permits during the first two months of the year were up dramatically over 81 during the same period last year. Queen Creek saw a less dramatic year-over-year jump: from 9 to 37.
