Bethany Marketplace Sells in Phoenix Los Angeles-based Safco Capital Corp. has purchased the 66,413-square-foot Bethany Marketplace located at 2316-2420 W. Bethany Home Rd. in Phoenix, AZ. The property sold for $4.6 million, or approximately $69 per square foot. The retail shopping center was constructed in 1999 on more than seven acres in the N Phoenix / I-17 Corridor Retail submarket in Maricopa County. It is anchored by Big Lots and Big Bob’s Flooring Outlets. View article…

Shops at Arrowhead sell for $5.9 million in Glendale The Shops at Arrowhead sold for $5.9 million to Wisconsin-based Black Sand Capital LLC. Located at 7708 W. Bell Road, the 13,247-square-foot center is 100 percent leased to five tenants: Mattress Firm, The Vitamin Shoppe, Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, Aspen Dental and T-Mobile. The center was sold by VHC 211 LLC. Arizona Corporation Commission records show Vertical Holdings Co. LLC in Scottsdale as the sole member of VHC 211 LLC. View article…

Corbins Electric buys Phoenix industrial property for $2.9M Corbins Electric, a large Phoenix-based electrical contractor, has purchased a single-user industrial property at 4829 S. 38th St. in Phoenix for $2.9 million. Corbins had been a tenant of that general industrial property. The seller was Lam Research Corp. of Fremont, Calif. View article…

Leslie’s Poolmart buys six Shasta stores around Phoenix Phoenix-based Leslie’s Poolmart Inc., a specialty retailer of swimming pool supplies, has purchased all six Shasta Pool & Spas retail stores in the Valley. Fresh & Easy closes four Phoenix stores as competition grows The grocery business in Phoenix continues to be a tough one, as another grocer has announced the closure of four local stores. Fresh & Easy will close four stores, including one at 19th and Glendale Avenues in Phoenix. The others to close are at 13215 N. 7th Street; 3131 E. Greenway Road and 8365 W.
