Mesa approves rezoning request for Banner medical facility Banner Health is one step closer to building a nearly 87,500-square-foot medical facility in east Mesa. The City Council last week approved a rezoning request that would expedite development at the proposed site at the northeastern corner of Baseline and Crismon roads. The medical center, comparable to Banner’s Peoria and Maricopa facilities, would offer “a mix of primary-care services, basic lab and imaging services and extended hours for ease of access by the community,” said Banner spokeswoman Jennifer Ruble. Mountain Shadows redevelopment plan might boost home values When Mountain Shadows Resort closed in 2004, Vernon Parker joked that his son in elementary school would be in college before the Paradise Valley property was redeveloped. His son graduated from Brophy College Preparatory last week and, coincidentally, the latest plan for redevelopment of the 68-acre site surfaced at the same time. “We were clairvoyant,” said Parker, a Paradise Valley town councilman. “It was a joke, but the joke turned into reality.” View article…

Radar Logic: Prices Will Fall Further, Strengths Due to Temporary Forces Even though Radar Logic reported a monthly increase in home prices for March, the analytics company expects prices to fall and gave credit to “temporary market forces” for recent strengths seen in the housing market. “In light of the oversupply we continue to see in the market, we disagree with the widespread view that home prices have reached a bottom or will do so in the near future,” said Michael Feder, president and CEO of Radar Logic.
